KoruptionInc (KI) started on the Gilgamesh server during the Japanese release of FFXI. Founding members of KI were some of the first american players to level cap, clear dynamis stages and end game world bosses. And now we are back for round 2.
The other half of Koruption Inc came together as Apollo in the pre-release period of Age of Conan. After being recruited by the Exodus Gaming Syndicate we broke off from them and formed Apollo. In less than a month Apollo went from the original 14 members to a 70+ member guild going into the release of AoC. We were not nor will we ever be a zerg, while the top guilds on the server (Tyranny) were all 100-150+ members we stayed below 100 because of our strict recruitment standards.
We were among the first to build a guild keep, and if not for a crafting glitch we would have been among the first to claim a battle keep. But that was no matter as less than a week later we were the first to successfully assault and claim an occupied keep.
Apollo moved on to Darkfall upon release with the same anti-zerg, strict recruitment policy. Day one we claimed our hamlet and less than a month later our city.
Key members of Koruption Inc and Apollo have now reunited to bring our particular skill set to FFXIV.



Members

Koruption Inc. is made up of mature, 18 and older, hardcore members who value teamwork, above all else. If accepted you will not be joining just another linkshell but a family who puts teamwork and group progression above all else. Those that desire personal gain at the expense of their Linkshell need not apply. We are not nor will we ever be a zerg, we would rather go into launch with 20 elite players that we know and trust than 100 random invites.



Requirements for recruitment

1. Be active-Activity is a must, if you are a casual player this is not the linkshell for you. You will fall behind the curve, and you will become a strain on the linkshell as a whole. We’re not asking for 5+ hours a day 7 days a week, there is no set limit, and we understand that real life comes before everything else. That being said, if you would describe yourself as a casual player this is not the guild for you. If you don’t know if you’re casual or hardcore this is not the guild for you.
2. Put the Linkshell First- This is the most important requirement. Some days you will be asked to farm, some days you will be asked to help other members. You may have to repeat a quest you did yesterday because a guildie needs it done. If you value personal progression over linkshell progression this is not the guild for you.
3. Vent is a must- Self explanatory, you must be on vent if you’re playing with linkshell members.
4. Listen to your officers- They’re there for a reason, they get nothing special, no extra DKP, no special privileges. They take time from their lives to do this so respect and obey the officers. Also KI is a democracy its members will have a voting right into a majority of the Linkshell decisions. There aren't any power tripping officers or leaders here. Any decision made outside of the leadership is made with the guild first mentality ahead of all others.
5. Respect your Linkshell members- Although we don’t moderate language and content of posts or speech if you begin to offend other linkshell members there will be problems. Koruption Inc. has ZERO TOLLERANCE for drama. No matter how good you think you are. Drama queens will not make it long here. Most of us have jobs, real lives and familys and have our own drama. We dont need any in a game.
6. Keep our Strats to yourself- Self explanatory
7. 18+ - This is enforced 99.9% of the time. Unless you can prove you can be mature and active we prefer members out of high school. There is just too much drama and random afk’s that come from kids.
8. Previous end game experience in some game is a must- We are not interested in teaching basic raiding strategies.
9. Be elite not 1337- We don’t care how much DPS you do, we don’t care how 1337 you are. You are joining a hardcore linkshell that puts teamwork above all else. If you join you’re 18+, act like it.
10. Have fun- This is a game whose purpose is to entertain, so have fun.




Crafting


Dedicated crafters are always welcome, if you craft you will never have to worry about supplies for leveling up your craft. The linkshell will supply you with all materials you need to level, in return you will be expected to equip the guild.

I don't wanna sound douchey, but how could you consider anyone elite at a game that isn't released yet?

I'd might like to apply but i have no idea what job i really wanna do atm i may end up starting with the job i think i might like but then comepltly change my mind.

Sorry, bad choice of words. Super serious about playing the game at a superior pace.

Wouldn't that just be Hardcore then?

Elite in terms of attitude and play style, this isn't a pvp game where skill can be measured individually. This is a game where skill is measured by teamwork, and dedication. Will some people be better than others? naturally. At Koruption Inc we're focused on recruiting members with the highest chance of becoming elite FF XIV players, because since the game isn't out yet no one can be considered an elite player.

Hardcore is the correct term to use, we are a hardcore guild. We only recruit members with the past experience, playtime, and attitude we believe is necessary to quickly and efficiently progress through this game with 0 drama along the way.

Good reply. I wouldn't mind playing with you guys(Getting on the same server), but I wouldn't apply since I don't want to go hardcore @ release. I ended up doing that with Wrath of the Lich King(70 to 80 in two days), and had to level another character just to enjoy the story.

That's not a problem kripy. We understand. This Linkshell isnt for everyone. But we also arent elitest. It wont be like, "hey theres kripy. He's level 20 while we are all level 50. What a noob." We are very layed back, just all have fast paced play styles. Looking forward to meeting you ingame sometime in the future.

Although I have not yet played FFXI with this group, i have played other games with them. It is a great group to play with if you have the same goals. Yea, we throw the words elite or hardcore around, but those are kind of filters at the same time, in my opinion. Someone who doesn't want to be "hardcore" prolly isnt right for our group. Yes we may lose some experienced players to this but thats the nature of the beast. I like the fact that we went through an application process to get here, it shows orginazation and structure. Since this group has shifted from game to game i know it wont be a shell that will zerg to 100+ members and then phaze out after a month.

Cant wait to get into this game because i like the FF series and MMOs. So finaly its a win/win for me!
